Undocumented changes

Every patch there’s a bunch of stuff that changes that isn’t in the patch notes. The most obvious examples are bugs that are introduced in the technical side of the client software, particularly when no technical changes can be found in the patch notes (anyone else here have to upgrade from an FX5200 around patch 1.7?). Fortunately, the same site I was watching for pre-release details now has a growing list of undocumented changes. They’re still unlikely to work out that X% of the play base will probably have to upgrade their video drivers to avoid crippling crashes, but at least those of us not able to get into the test realms will have a bit of a heads-up on the stuff Blizzard couldn’t be bothered documenting.

Oh the stealth nerf, we hunters are all to familiar with it.

Forgive me, it’s the end of the work day.

    Rogue

    * Poisons will now persist through zoning.

About! Damned! Time! I can’t even begin to calculate how much gold I’ve wasted on poison that’s just disappeared from random disconnects, zoning out of instances to help summon (or help beat down jerks ganking raid-mates), and abruptly-ended battleground matches from entire teams of honor farmers leaving at once for better prospects in another popped battleground!

There must be thousands of undocumented cosmetic changes.

We were looking at early screenshots (first few weeks) we took compared to the way even grass rocks and trees look now and ther are vast differences in the complexity and tone of the environment.

“The LookingForGroup (LFG) channel is now worldwide. Players in Eastern Plaguelands can look for groups in Ironforge or Stormwind.”

How this change be any good? Imagine being in the middle of STV and finding out that someone is LFG Princess… and that being the level 9 boar in Elwynn Forest not a high level raid in Scholomance or what have you…
