Official Forums v.2

Blizzard recently announced the beta for the new World of Warcraft forums.

It loads quite quickly (though that could be the relatively smaller volume of posts and users on the new system). It looks very nice, too.

Most notably, the character avatars are updated, with new images for different class/level/race combinations.

As with all betas, a little bit of a bug has crept in, specifically on the character choice screen (which lets you pick which character you’d like to post as): it shows all of your alts, even the ones you’ve long since deleted.

I knew I was an altoholic, but this is ridiculous.

    Wow, they look really spiffy.

Now if only the new forums could fix the rampant stupidity on the boards…

    That’ll be in v.3.

Are all of those actually your alts? When I logged in, I got alts I never made, and some alts I knew I had never showing up. (Not to mention that a lot of them were listed on the wrong servers.)

Honestly, I have so many of them (obviously) that I can’t recall if any are legitimately alts that I created. I have the feeling that they’re correct, though – at least, in my dim memory of playing for 15 levels on this or that server, chasing my friends’ capricious alt-making of their own.
