An evening off

My wife and I have been working very hard this summer, with rarely a day off. This is for all good reasons, and things are going wel, but we needed a break. So she suggests we drive about 45 mnutes to our favorite pub in the town where I lived for 15 years. We always run into a bunch of friends at this place and it’s a nice drive, so we did it.

Sure enough we run into a bunch of people we know, an even some who aren’t regulars at this place. It was great to see everyone.

Then my wife says, “Now, isn’t this better than playingg your game all evening?”

I just smiled and nodded at the table across the room. “See that skinny guy there in the blue shirt?”, I said. “He’s in my guild.”

That’s very nice. We seem to be in the same position. I’ve been married for quite a long time too and yeah! I could not remember the last time my hubby and I went out for a date or something. I wish we can find time soon to unwind like what you both did.

The guild I’m in is working on AQ40 now, so pretty serious about raiding, but every friday night is non-raiding night.

This has led to a number of us in the guild that are in the same geographic area going out for dinner every Friday. However the conversation is almost entirely around WoW.
