The Patch Man Cometh

It’s almost time. I promised a new UI setup guide and I’ll deliver as soon as the patch is out and I can be sure stuff doesn’t break. For up-to-the minutes and some mirrors of your favorite apps, just in case Curse and WoWI go down again, come to #ktwow on irc.freenode.net, we gots the goods.

mogUI 2.0 will be completely Ace2 and have a lot of cool new macro features using the 2.0 macro system which rocks most socks in its versatility (and complexity, of course). A full UI and screenshots here, soon, or on my website.

Bleh- I develop a few mods, but this whole SecureActionButton thing is totally confusing for me. Some ppl have been bugging me to update my mods before the patch, but I couldn’t even get onto the test server with the ridiculous queue times.

I’ll have to develop against live and wait a few days, although the examples they’re giving for the SecureActionButton are still vague and hard to follow.

For the next few weeks though, I’m gonna be quite the gimp.

What I know about the new Secure templating I took from Slouken’s posts and from wowace.com. Flexbar will be available in a very gimped version (thanks to 2.0 limitations) soon, but I reckon people will go with Bartender 3 or Trinity anyways, since that’s the max that can be done.

I’m psyched about the new macro system [hate] and [help] make me VERY happy, same with [stance:1] and so on. That IS basically what Flexbar did best, and … meh … might as well use Blizz’ own code :)
