Oh the Anticipation….

The Alliance race get’s revealed today along with more info about patch 1.11 and the expansion.
I know everyone’s pretty much figured out what the new race is but it’s gonna be nice when it’s official.
It feels like a Macworld announcement.

    Blizz’s website links to this http://e3.blogs.nytimes.com/ which is reporting that we’ll be “able to join the other-worldy species known as the Draenei.” Not sure if this means that the new race is definitely going to be the Draenei–by joining this species it could just mean high end quests–but, given the other evidence about the race (the silhouette posted on other blogs, “they will have a connection to the outlands”) I think its pretty safe to assume that it is going to the Draenei.

    Hrm, they certainly don’t look like the little guys I expected judging by the Blasted Lands and Swamp of Sorrows.

    Most players have no background on these guys, but at least are exposed to blood elves in Azshara.

    They look a lot more intriguing than I expected. They’re supposed to be the chance for players to play a demon character.

    I very much like what they did with the Draenei – hulking and tough-looking, but with that stick-up-the-bum Alliance bearing. Definitely a step in the right direction.

    But what I want to know is – where is the Horde tiny guy? I mean, gnomes are the running joke of punt-happy Taurans everywhere – it’s only fair that the Horde be the butt of some jokes once in a while.
