DoDcomix Installment 21
It is, without much further ado, that I present you with this week’s installment of DoDcomix. Hoern, the depicted Thodt, Amirubey, and others are in the process of leaving Stormrage and moving to a new server, so we might not have installment 22 before the move – but I promise a double feature, if we do :)
Neat little comic. You mention it’s #21… where are the others? I’d like to see 1-20 if they exist. :)
I read the comments on that Flickr page. I think Flickr is about life, and documenting it. Whatever form life is for you, you can document it. Of course some people will disagree about what’s cool and what isn’t, what’s art and what isn’t. I think some people just get defensive when something you do threatens their idea of what Flickr is. They want control over what it is because it makes them feel more comfortable and at home there. Unfortunately, the internet is mostly public.
Those comments remind me of the RPers vs. casuals debate. RPers want things to all fit in a neat little box, but the casuals just want to make it part of life, no pretending. Hrm… that’s a post in itself.
1-20 I’ll upload to a different site, soon. They do exist, albeit 1-10 kinda suck (still, I’ve never been above embarassing myself :).
As to the RP vs. Mundanes debate – that’s something I’d love to have, one day. Especially in the light of how conducive (I believe poorly) the WoW mechanisms are to good RP, or if they are designed to discorage RP and full immersion… Not sure what to think, at this point, though my RP-PvP char is only 38 and my RP is very light.
