My Favorite NPC

Having a favorite NPC seems silly in a game like WoW, where interaction with non-player characters consists of little more than a few spoken lines of bubble dialogue with [YOUR CHARACTER’S NAME] somewhere in it.

My choice of a favorite NPC is even sillier, because he doesn’t even do that much.

He basically just stands there with a sword in his hand.

I chose him not for what he does, but who he represents.

He is, of course, Wesley, the main character in S. Morgenstern’s Classic Tale of True Love and High Adventure. It’s best read in the original Florinese, but not many people can handle that. You can always try the “good parts version,” if you have a weak stomach.

now, if at some point he dissapeared and then came back as a black clad pirate later, that’d really be something.

The best would have to be either lumberjack Terry Palin in the Eastvale Logging Camp, or Servo in the Badlands (I don’t know why, but I couldn’t help but crack up when he dropped a Six Million Dollar Man reference – plus he’s cute too).

My personal favorite is Ragnar Thunderbrew in front of the inn in Kharanos, Dun Morogh. My actual name is Ragnar so I am pretty fond of him! lol

My second favorite is Captain Vimes in Theramore. (Discworld!)
